After appearing on the ‘Rap Game’, Deetranada is still on tour with Jermaine Durpri and the rest of the Rap Game kids but as you can see it doesn’t stop her from releasing fire.
On June 25th,she released her debut album ‘adolescence swim’ featuring 10 original songs and one feature from CraveTay on the last track. The album was produced by Mike Kalombo and broke into the top 10 hip hop/ rap albums on iTunes.
She also released a music video for ‘fulltimesavage’ which is number one the album.
In my opinion,
for a 16-year-old rapper, this debut album can compete with the best of today’s hip hop music. Some of the content she talks about is a bit mature for her age but her lyrical ability makes you forget that factor without any hesitation. The creative magic she brings with this project is incredible. Not only does she show the talent that she is known for but she also surprises us and shows that she has a smooth and unique vocal ability. One track in particular caught my attention, track 5. She was able to take a phone recording and ease it onto the album like another track so smoothly that you wouldn’t even mind cause it’s fire enough without mastering or high quality studio equipment. Let’s not forget that it’s ironically called ‘NewRecording4’. I feel she accomplished what you are supposed to accomplish with a debut album. This album will not only define her as a good lyricist but also a young soul with a creative and winning mind who knows what’s she wants and how to get it.
You can purchase and stream the album on iTunes here and any other major digital music store.
