Ariana Grande drops first single ’Thank You, Next’ from new album

Update: Thank You Next has hit #1 on Billboard hot 100.

”no drags…. no shade….. jus love, gratitude, acceptance, honesty, forgiveness … and growth 🖤” Ariana tweeted before the release of her new single ’Thank You, Next’.

The single apparently dropped 30 minutes before SNL came on air Saturday night. Ariana Grande’s most recent ex Pete Davidson is a regular cast member and writer on the comedy sketch show. He recently made a joke pertaining to their break up in the recent SNL promo and Grande was not happy.

Despite that, the song is an instant smash due to Grandes amazing vocals, relatable lyrics, and growth you hear within the song. She name drops several exs that have contributed to her growth including Big Sean, Pete Davision, and Mac Miller. The song ends with Grande talking about how she learned to love herself along with learning patience. The track is the first single off of her upcoming album. A name for the album has yet to be released.

Apple Music managed to miss type one of the lines and made a ton of fans think grande said she fell for a girl named ’Aubrey’ while in fact she said ’Ari’ which is herself. Fans freaked out on Twitter and got ’Aubrey’ trending thinking Grande was saying she was bisexual.

Aside from the mishap, lyric website, Genius posted the correct lyrics and Grande tweeted out the correct lyric herself.

The track teaches self love after a break up, that it’s okay if it doesn’t work out and true love will come in time. It is everything and more. I can’t wait until the rest of the album. This is sure to be another number one for Grande.
