Ariana Grande Announces More Details on Manchester Benefit Concert One Week After Attack

Ariana Grande will come back to Manchester with the help of her closest friends in the music industry for a benefit concert for Manchester. “One Love Manchester” will take place on Sunday, June 4 at the Emirates Old Trafford Center Cricket Ground, with Ariana headlining a star-studded lineup that includes Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Niall Horan, and Take That, according to the BBC.

All net ticket proceeds from the concert, which will be broadcasted on BBC Television, BBC Radio, and Capital Radio Networks, will benefit the “We Love Manchester Emergency Fund” set up by Manchester City Council and the British Red Cross, according to the official announcement. Those who attended Ariana’s concert at Manchester Arena on May 22 – the night 22 people were killed in a suicide bombing – will have the opportunity to register for free tickets, while the general public can purchase tickets starting on Thursday.

Ariana first announced her plans to return to Manchester in a lengthy note shared with fans on social media on Friday May 26. “I don’t want to go the rest of the year without being able to see and hold and uplift my fans, the same way they continue to uplift me,” she wrote. “Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before. I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families. I want to thank my fellow musicians and friends for reaching out to be a part of our expression of love for Manchester.”
